  • Is bedlinen supplied?

    Yes of course.

    For those who choose to stay in the dorms : fresh,clean bedlinen are handled upon arrival and you can bring them back by check out.Towels are available for a small charge.

    For those who choose to stay in a private room:The beds are already made with clean bedlinen.Big towels are included.

  • Is breakfast included?

    No,breakfast is not included but there are several options upon request from 8 am till 11 am.

    Moreover there are shops all around near our neighbourhood where you can taste some greek breakfast and also we have a fully-fitted self-catering kitchen so you can make you own food as suits your own taste, your own budget and what time you get up!

  • How far is it to the city centre?

    We are located in Ano Poli, the old city of Thessaloniki just 10 minutes from the city centre.

  • Do you have lockers for my stuff?

    Yes, we offer spacious lockers in all the rooms.

    You can use your own padlock or you can purchase one from the reception.

     

  • How good is your security?

    Excellent! The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe and there is always the receptionist taking care of your safety.

    By check in you will receive 2 keys.One is from the main entrance of the building and one from your room's door.

  • How safe is Thessaloniki as a city?

    All travelling carries with it a certain amount of risk, Thessaloniki however is still one of the safest places you can go.

  • How do I get around the city?

    There is no tube or metro system in Thessaloniki , but instead a very efficient bus system. That said however the city is small & compact, and most visitors never need step on a bus - everything is within easy walking distance - especially as Hostel Arabas is so centrally located.

  • What time do the pubs shut?

  • How late can I come back to the hostel?

    You may come any time you like! After you have checked in, of course!

  • What time can you check in/What time is check out?

    Check in can be done anytime between 13:00 and 22:30. Check out time is until 11.00 am every day. Our reception is open daily from 8:00 to 23:00. 

  • I don't want to just drink my way around the world - what else is there to see and do in Thessaloniki?

    Good for you! Too much booze turns people into idiots anyway right? Needless to say there is loads to see and do in Thessaloniki. Top recommendations are:

    • Visit Thessaloniki Castle - if only for the history!
    • Take a nice tour of the Old City!
    • Go shopping in the city centre - an unbeatable selection of temptations await!
    • Go clubbing!
    • Visit Thessaloniki's innumerable and historical Byzantine churches!

    Take a walk by the sea and enjoy the people and the ships

    Have a drink or coffee on a Pirate Ship, under the sound of your favourite music while sailing and enjoying the view of the whole city. Departures from the bay in front of the White Tower every half an hour after 7:00 pm

    Take a bus to Chalkidiki and explore the unbelievable beaches and crystal clear waters. Closest beach at half an hour in bus.
